OPAC Software Updates

The Libcodesk OPAC app checks quietly for new releases after you sign in. A compact notice appears when a newer version is available; it does not replace the page you are using.

Update The App

  1. Open the vertical three-dot More menu.
  2. Choose Software Update.
  3. Review What's new for the new version.
  4. Choose Update now.
  5. Complete the installer or device-store steps, then reopen the app.

You can choose Remind me later for an optional update. The app will remind you again later. When you are already using the latest release, the page shows the current version and confirms that no update is needed.

Store-installed editions open the correct device store. A direct Windows edition downloads and verifies its installer, shows installation progress, closes OPAC when the upgrade is ready, and reopens it after a successful update. Windows may still request administrator approval. Always install OPAC updates offered inside the app or through an official store.

Troubleshooting

  • Check your internet connection and free device storage.
  • Return to More > Software Update and select Check for updates.
  • If your sign-in has expired, sign in again before retrying.
  • If an update still fails, tell your library the current version and the error shown. Members should contact their library for help.

FAQ

Will an update remove my loans, holds, or reading lists?

No. These belong to your library account. A normal app update does not cancel them.

Can I read the release notes without installing immediately?

Yes. Open More > Software Update and review What's new.
