Install the Standalone App

The Windows installer presents the software agreement before installation, so the Windows first-run setup does not ask for the same acceptance again. Android and other distributions that do not collect agreement acceptance in an installer continue to show the policy acceptance step inside the app.

Use the Standalone app when your library needs CodeAchi Libcodesk on Windows or Android.

Before You Start

  • For Windows, use a Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer.
  • For Android, use a 64-bit phone or tablet running Android 7.0 or newer that permits direct APK installation.
  • Download the installer only from libcodesk.com or from a link shared by CodeAchi support.
  • Keep your local library data backed up if your library uses Local setup.
  • Ask your library administrator whether you should use Cloud setup or Local setup.

Install on Windows

  1. Open the official download page.
  2. Choose Download for Windows.
  3. Open the downloaded setup file from your Downloads folder.
  4. Allow Windows to start the installer if it asks for permission.
  5. Read the License Agreement in the scrollable panel, then accept it only if you agree to the terms.
  6. Keep the default setup choices unless your library administrator gives you different instructions.
  7. Finish setup.
  8. Open CodeAchi Libcodesk from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

On Windows, CodeAchi Libcodesk runs as one desktop window at a time. If the app is already open and you use its shortcut again, Windows restores and focuses the existing window instead of opening a second copy.

Install on Android

  1. Open the official download page on your Android phone or tablet.
  2. Choose Download for Android. The APK download starts immediately.
  3. Open the downloaded APK from your browser or Downloads app.
  4. If Android asks, allow your browser or file manager to install apps from this source.
  5. Confirm the installation, then open CodeAchi Libcodesk.
  6. Turn off the temporary install-from-this-source permission afterward if you do not normally use it.

Only install an APK downloaded directly from libcodesk.com. If Android blocks the installation, ask your device administrator before changing managed-device security settings.

First Run

When the app opens for the first time, choose the setup that matches your library:

  • Cloud setup: sign in with your organization account.
  • Local setup: continue with a local library database on this computer.

If Windows Shows a Warning

Check that the installer came from libcodesk.com or CodeAchi support before opening it. If you are unsure, do not continue. Contact CodeAchi support or your library administrator.

Uninstall

Use Windows Settings or Control Panel to uninstall CodeAchi Libcodesk. If your library uses Local setup, back up your local library data before removing any local data files.
