Member service requests
In Cloud setup, open Member Manager > Member service requests in Libcodesk WebApp. This inbox lets authorized library staff review questions, title requests, inter-library applications and clearance applications from the browser member portal. It is not the CodeAchi support-ticket system.
Review an application
- Check the active organization and library.
- Filter by request type or status. Use the page controls for longer lists.
- Open a row's action menu and choose Review or View.
- Read the member, library, request details and recent status history.
- If permitted, choose In review, Resolved, or Declined, and enter a reply the member can read.
- Choose Save. The action is available only after a meaningful change. Wait for confirmation before closing.
You can send a further reply while a request remains In review. Read-only users can inspect permitted requests but cannot change them. Long histories show their latest updates with an indication when earlier entries are omitted.
When your permissions allow it, View member opens the existing member record. Finish or discard any review edits before leaving the form.
Make the actual service decision
An application does not perform the service automatically. For an inter-library request, use the established inter-library workflow to check partners and arrange any approved loan. For clearance, check the member's loans, dues and the library's own rules in the relevant records. Issue any official certificate through the library's approved process.
Marking a request Resolved records the staff response; it does not waive charges, return books, approve an external loan, issue a certificate or change membership.
Access and conflicts
Your role and library scope determine the request types you can view or review. Do not ask members to submit another person's application through their own account.
If another staff member has changed a request, reload it and read the latest response before editing again. Your stale review must not overwrite newer work. Completed or declined requests are read-only.
Do and don'ts
- Do monitor this inbox and provide a clear, useful reply.
- Do verify the selected member and library before reviewing.
- Don't treat the request status as proof of financial clearance.
- Don't include internal notes or sensitive information in replies; members can read them.
FAQ
Why can I view a request but not save a reply?
Your role may allow viewing without review access, or the request may already be completed.
Where are study-space reservations?
They remain in Reading Room. This inbox does not replace reservation, payment or cancellation controls.
