Visitor History

Open Visitor Manager > Visitor History to review visits for the active library. History includes member and guest visits permitted by your role and may show entry, exit, visit method, purpose, responsible staff, and linked circulation activity.

Search And Review

  1. Set the active library.
  2. Search by the visible member, guest, card, or visit information.
  3. Apply date, status, method, or purpose filters where available.
  4. Open the row action menu and choose View details.
  5. Review linked issue or return activity as context; the circulation record remains the source for circulation work.

On phones and narrow windows, the summary cards stay in a compact two-column layout. Quick date choices wrap as complete buttons, and the remaining filters appear at the available width. Scroll the page to reach every filter, visit, and pagination control. Wide desktop windows keep the visit list in its own working area. Changing the layout does not change the selected library, filters, or results.

Correct A Visit

Authorized staff may correct an inaccurate visit or exit time and must provide a meaningful reason. Deletion removes the visit from normal lists but retains its accountability trail. Do not alter a visitor record to correct a circulation transaction.

Troubleshooting

  • Visit is missing: Confirm the active library and date range.
  • Member name is absent: The entry may be a guest visit or the member relationship may no longer be visible to your role.
  • Edit/delete is unavailable: Your role or the record state does not permit it.

Do And Don'ts

  • Do record exits promptly from Visitor Desk.
  • Do provide a specific correction reason.
  • Don't delete visits to reduce usage counts.
  • Don't expose guest contact details in exported or shared screenshots.

FAQ

Why is a circulation activity shown in visitor details?

It helps staff understand the visit context. Editing the visit does not change the issue or return transaction.
