Library Information

Open More > My Library to browse the branches available through the organization. Each branch card shows a calm library illustration, the branch's current published open or closed status, and location or contact chips when the library has supplied those details. Missing details are simply omitted; the page does not guess amenities, collection totals, or contact information.

Select View details for the branch description and published opening hours. Select Browse branch books to open Search & Browse with that branch applied as the search filter. You can review or clear the branch filter with the other advanced search filters.

Check the Library Calendar

The read-only Library Calendar shows regular weekly closing days, organization holidays, and temporary closures. A date keeps its neutral card background and uses compact Weekly closure, Holiday, or Temporary closure badges instead of a large warning-colored block. Hover a dated badge in the Libcodesk WebApp, or focus/long-press it in the Standalone app, to read the published description. Screen readers announce the same details.

Use the previous and next month buttons, month and year controls, or Today to move through the calendar. These controls work with a keyboard and the calendar adapts to desktop, tablet, mobile, and narrow app windows.

The calendar does not include settings, importing, or editing controls. Library staff maintain this information. If a closure or holiday looks incorrect, contact your library and mention the affected date.

The library selector in the header controls normal catalogue browsing. Browse branch books adds a search-specific branch filter without silently changing that saved header selection.

Opening information is provided by the library. Check the current month before travelling, especially around holidays. If the calendar cannot load, retry after checking your connection.

• Do: Check the live status, closure reason, and current calendar before travelling.
• Do: Use Browse branch books when you want results from one branch only.
• Don't: Assume an unlisted phone number, email, amenity, or collection total is available.
• Don't: treat an unpublished schedule as confirmation that a branch is open; contact the library when hours are unavailable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a branch show “Hours not published”?

The library has not supplied enough opening-hour information to calculate a current status. Use the published contact details, if available, to confirm before visiting.

Does Browse branch books change my saved library selection?

No. It applies that branch to the current catalogue search. The header selection remains unchanged.

Why is a date badge visible without a detailed reason?

The library published the closure type but did not add a longer description. The badge still truthfully identifies the date as a weekly closure, holiday, or temporary closure.
