Account
The Account page is a focused membership summary. It keeps your identity and membership status visible while longer activity lists open in focused views.
Before you start
Sign in with the member account provided or approved by your library. Your library must enable the digital library card before its barcode and QR action appears.
Open the member menu
On a wide Web or Standalone app window, choose your name and photo or initial in the top-right header. The photo stays circular beside the name; long names shorten with an ellipsis instead of pushing other header controls out of place. On a narrow Web window, the same control keeps the member photo visible in a compact avatar-only form. The member menu shows the signed-in identity and provides direct links to My account and Member services. Choose Sign out in this menu when you finish. The same sign-out action also remains available from More.
Information shown
Depending on library data and permissions, Account shows the member photo, name, Member ID, email, phone, member type, Membership Plan, status, home library, current-loan count, hold count, and outstanding balance.
The membership status panel combines the start and expiry dates with a progress bar and days-remaining count. An expired membership is clearly marked. Contact your library if the dates or status do not match your membership.
Show your digital library ID
Choose Library Card in the profile card. The digital card uses the visible Member ID assigned by your library, so staff or a supported self-checkout station can scan its barcode or QR code from your screen. Increase screen brightness and keep the whole code visible if scanning is difficult.
Do not share a screenshot of the card publicly. It identifies your library membership even though it is not your sign-in password.
Reading summary
The compact Reading summary shows the number of items borrowed during the displayed calendar year, active loans, and active holds. Use the detailed activity views for titles, due dates, hold status, and available actions.
Open account records
Account separates Circulation activity from Financial activity. Choose Current loans, Holds, or Loan history for borrowing records. Choose Transaction history for posted charges and confirmed payments. These focused views remain inside Account, keep the main bottom navigation visible, and include a back arrow. The system Back action also returns to Account.
Loan history appears only when the library enables member-facing history. Eligible loans show Renew, and holds show the actions currently permitted by your library, such as pause, resume, or cancel. Transaction history is not a banking statement.
Change password
Choose Change password, enter the current password, then enter and confirm the new password. Keep the dialog open until success or a useful validation message appears.
Session expiry
If the secure session expires, OPAC clears the stale session and returns immediately to Sign in. Sign in again instead of repeatedly retrying an Account error.
Family Accounts
When Family Accounts is enabled and your library has approved linked members, use Switch account to view a permitted linked account without sharing passwords.
If something looks wrong
- If the digital card action is missing, your library may not have enabled it.
- If a barcode or QR code will not scan, raise screen brightness, remove screen magnification, and present the code without cropping.
- If the membership status is expired or the remaining days seem wrong, contact your library. Members should not contact CodeAchi support directly for membership-data corrections.
- If an activity action is unavailable, the item or your library policy may not allow it.
Do and don'ts
- Do: Use the visible Member ID and digital card shown in Account when library staff ask for your library identification.
- Do: Check due dates and hold status in their focused views before visiting the library.
- Don't: Share your digital card screenshot, password, or account access with another person.
- Don't: treat Transaction history as a bank statement; it shows library-facing account records.
FAQ
Why is the barcode / QR action not shown?
Your library controls whether the digital library card is available. Ask library staff whether it is enabled for your portal.
What number is encoded in my digital card?
It uses the visible Member ID assigned by your library. It does not display an internal software record number.
Why does my borrowed-this-year count differ from Loan history?
The summary is limited to the displayed calendar year. Loan history may include returned items from earlier years when your library enables that view.
