Holds and Reservations
Open Account > Holds to review both active reservations and their history. OPAC shows the catalogue cover when one is available, together with the reservation status, queue position when available, when the hold was placed, and the pickup expiry when a copy is ready.
Manage an active hold
Depending on library policy, an active hold may provide Pause, Resume, or Cancel. Wait for the action to finish and confirm the updated status before leaving the page.
A closed hold remains visible with its final reason, such as collected, cancelled by the member, cancelled by the library, or expired after the pickup period. If a ready hold has no pickup expiry yet, OPAC says that the deadline is pending instead of guessing a date.
Remove a cancelled hold
A cancelled hold shows Delete cancelled hold. Choose it, check the title in the confirmation, and confirm to remove that row from your Holds page. The row disappears as soon as deletion succeeds. This action is available only for cancelled holds; it does not cancel or remove an active, ready, collected, or expired hold.
If deletion fails, the hold stays in the list. Try again, and contact your library if the same cancelled hold still cannot be removed.
Important
A hold is normally placed at title level. Any eligible copy can satisfy it according to the library's queue and collection rules. Contact the library if a status or cancellation reason needs clarification.
OPAC does not offer member circulation actions for copies marked Restricted, Reference Only, or Special Approval. You can still view their catalogue details. Contact your library when you need supervised reference access or staff approval.
